Create Salon was founded in 2020 by Kasey & Dani, whose journey together began at Vidal Sassoon back in 2008.

What’s your favourite travel destination?
That’s a tough one! I’ve been lucky enough to explore some amazing places, but the Philippines has to be my favourite. The landscapes are stunning and the people are just as beautiful.
What’s been a career highlight so far?
I’ve had some incredible experiences, including working at London Fashion Week. The standout though has to be my time in India with the Hairdressers Without Borders project, which was truly life-changing.

Your favourite food?
Tapas, without a doubt. My top recommendation is Bar44 in Cardiff, it’s unbeatable.
If you weren’t a hairdresser, what would you be?
I honestly can’t imagine not being a hairdresser. If I had to choose though, in another life I’d love to be a pilot or maybe a DJ.

Dani
Co-Director of Create Salon and Specialises in Cutting.

What’s your favourite way to spend a day off?
If I’m feeling motivated, I’ll start with a workout, then catch up with friends and family. These days though, most of my time off is happily spent chasing after my little boy!
​
Who’s your hero?
My mum, without question. She’s always been there for me through the good times and the tough ones.
​
What’s been your career highlight so far?
Opening the salon during the pandemic will always be a huge milestone. Beyond that, being featured on sustainability podcasts and working on an editorial photoshoot for ABC were real highlights.
​
What’s your guilty pleasure?
Definitely watching Keeping Up With The Kardashians or Made in Chelsea. I can’t get enough!

Camping on the beach with my three kids and our dog, Buster.

Yes, it has to be Goodfellas!

What’s the best piece of advice anyone has given you?
Believe in yourself. You’re only in competition with the person you were yesterday.

Do you have a fun fact?
I love to sing Elvis Presley after a couple of drinks!

Controversial, but Runaway by Kanye West!

What’s your secret superpower in the salon (other than great hair)?
Staying calm under pressure. I also love keeping things neat and tidy, it helps me focus and keeps my mind at ease.

Something unexpected about you?:
I once appeared in Doctor Who as an extra.

If you weren’t a stylist, what do you think you’d be doing instead?
I was actually a dental nurse before restarting my career. So, I wouldn’t change a thing!
